All 14 riders new that tonight was special. It was humid, drizzly and the
air was rich in Oxygen; most of all the very slight breeze was from the SE
giving us a push towards the motorway and a faster than normal finish. Tonight
was the long awaited 'floater'
I don't think anyone was disappointed with their times, Steve went massively
faster than his previous outing by almost 2 minutes, which was his fastest
time this year. Keith did his best Tuesday time of the season but to top it
all Arthur pulled out all the stops tonight when he annihilated his old fastest
time with an all time Person Best of 22:37. I feel certain that this is the
fastest club ten ever.
Well done Arthur and congratulations from everyone.
While the riders enjoyed the fast but hard race the marshals and photographer
were braving the rain. Thanks.

A not so bad evening considering the pretty mixed weather during the day.
The strong wind had gone leaving us with a slight N.Westerly, which was
a shade harder than last last week.
Arthur was still on form and produced another first class winning ride of
22:47.
With only one more ten to go Steve is hitting near peak form and rode his
best time of the season.
Keith's floating around the 24's but there's still time to capitalise on
last Sunday's ride.

Final club ten of the 2008 season and there are still points to be had in
the race to win the tens handicap trophy. Steve was going for it and was also
doing his best to psychologically damage Keith's confidence, Keith was also
working along the same lines in trying to persuade Steve to be his minute
man among other suggestions, which had absolutely no effect and Steve stormed
around in 26:47. I went slower than last week with 24:23. Not sure yet who
has won the handicap, it will have to be worked out later.
Arthur did not race tonight, he forgot his umbrella and didn't want to risk
getting wet!!
No need to worry, he's well got the season's ten wrapped up and the trophy
awaits his deserving efforts again.
