TUESDAY TEN, 9TH JUNE 2009
Well hello again,we've missed a couple of Tuesday races due to unforeseen
circumstances on the by-pass. The first week it was road works and last Tuesday
there was a serious crash on the dual carriageway, which was closed for a
number of hours.
This week it was all systems go and what a good night it was, a very slight
breeze and a reasonable temperature for racing, about 15deg.
Arthur and myself were racing with a good turn out of marshals to guide and
cheer us on.
By eck, hasn't Docker gorra a loud voice? I was obliged to go faster just
because of his enthusiastic cheering.
It worked for Arthur cos he romped around in 22:47, his best Tuesday time
of the season.
Keith Linge took some great action shots tonight. It's only me and Arthur
but without the photos to brighten up the pages the site would be a less colourful
place to visit.

TUESDAY TEN, 23rd JUNE 2009
Another calm evening and a temperature of about 20C, couldn't be better, although
there was always the threat of a thunder storm from the ominous black clouds
in the distance. Luckily we escaped with only a few light spots after the
race.
14 riders including our intrepid Wellheld, riding again for his second time
trial of the season and his first ten.On this occasion he was endowed with
a super time trial bike from the stable of Mr. Butterworth and he gave it
everything he had and finished with a highly commendable time of 24:46. With
7 events still remaining, Wellheld is already on course for the top handicap
prize with tonight's h.cap time of 22:46.
I was a DNF due to a technical problem with my bike. Still not diagnosed but
up to know I have found loose cranks and a steerer tube that seems too flexible.
